God . Family . Good Food

The essence of Rutilio's.
A locally owned and operated
Restaurant for generations.

It all started with Rudy, "Rutilio",
many many years ago.

Rudy learned how to cook from his father,
who learned how to cook in the Navy.
Rutilio's has been a classic and
comfortable spot, south in Belen,
since 1990,
but Rutilio has been cooking
for over 50 years.

The Belen location was voted
the best breakfast in Valencia County
for 3 years in a row.

After generations of perfecting the menu,
Dan, Rudy's son and Dinica, Dan's wife,
("Lovebirds"- their nickname
when they met while both
working at Intel)
are the owners of the brand new
ABQ Rutilio's location.

All their traditional family
recipes are now trending!

They opened on July 30th, 2019.

The new Albuquerque location
has been years in the making,
not because they didn't know exactly
what food they would serve,
but because, Dan, growing up in the
restaurant business, had always
dreamed of owning his own
Rutililo's New Mexican Restaurant
and carrying on the family legacy.

Over the years, many loyal customers
have begged for an ABQ location.
Rudy has always wanted
a location in Albuquerque, too.

When Dinica retired,
the time seemed just about
perfect to fulfill Dan's dream,
please the diehard customers
and make dad happy.

It doesn't seem like Dan or Dinica
are ever gonna slow down.
She is in charge, on a daily basis,
at the restaurant now, after years of
working with semi-conductors.
Dan is excelling as an RN and
Director of Nursing for
New Beginnings working with
the Developmentally disabled.

The food at Rutilio's
is classic New Mexican.
A mix of Spanish, Mexican, Native
American and Gringo. The right
combination of spice and heat.
Everything is just a bit milder.

The customers rave about
the Carne Adovada and
the mild salsas - red and green.

The ground beef enchiladas are
lite with a nice subtle puff of cumin
that lingers on your pallet. yum!

They also serve BLT's, ham and swiss,
several burger options, chile cheese fries,
Indian Tacos, eggs anyway you want them,
including chicken fried steak and eggs,
biscuits/gravy, pancakes and oatmeal.

Corn dogs and french toast are on their
extensive children's menu.

Breakfast is served all day

Donna and Ken, regulars,
pictured below with Danica,
love the crispy, crunchy hash browns.
They call them "hashbrown chips",
with a little snicker.

Of course, they have all the classics -
huevos rancheros, burritos, taco salad,
guacamole, chorizo, rellenos and
much more.

They will be adding desserts soon-
like fried ice cream, churros and
something she calls "Sopapilla Sunday"
- small sopapilla, ice cream, whipped cream
finished with a drizzle of chocolate.

Catering is easy for them.
In fact, they do Prime rib,
turkey and all the fixins
for the holidays,
along with traditional
New Mexican cuisine all year long.

They can do, weddings, funerals,
graduations, any party, big or small.
Even If it's not on the menu,
they can probably make it for you.

Dan's sister, Natalie, also has a Rutilio's
located in Los Lunas. Voted best Red Chile.

Cannot leave out sweet mom, Rebecca,
pictured above with Dan.

"We are so thankful god has blessed us
with a place where families can gather,
feel comfortable and enjoy good food"!
Says Dinica.

That's the vibe that permeates at
Rutilio's Mexican Restaurant.

Simple! Delicious!
